Partner Ann Smith published an article for the Burchells LLP Education Law Update, entitled, Penalties and Expulsion for being openly critical of your Prof or a Program of Study?

On February 24 articled clerk Tiffany Robertson may have made Nova Scotia juridical history.  The Supreme Court's Chief Justice granted a motion in chambers conceived, prepared and argued by Tiffany, with Jason Cooke's help, to serve documents on an opposing party by way of posting on Facebook.  Chief Justice Kennedy granted the order noting that, "not everyone who looks at your profile on Facebook is necessarily your 'friend.'"
