COVID19 and Temporary Office Closure

As of April 28, 2021, in view of guidance from provincial Public Health, Burchells LLP's offices at 1801 Hollis Street are temporarily closed to the public. We are hopeful this closure can be reversed in a couple of weeks, but will take our guidance from Public Health and the province.

In the meantime our IT resources are more than sufficient, and Burchells' lawyers and staff remain hard at work delivering results for our clients.  It's business-as-usual.  Don't hesitate to contact us by phone or email.

About David

David Lewis is a native Haligonian. He left the province to attend Mount Allison University where he received his Bachelor of Commerce in 1995. He then attended the University of New Brunswick where he earned his Bachelor of Laws in 2003 before returning to Nova Scotia.

David’s practice focuses on transactional matters, including all aspects of commercial property transactions, financings, incorporations, and residential property purchases and sales.  David also assists clients with estate planning, wills, and probate services.

David is a former member of the Nova Scotia Barrister Society’s Real Estate Practice Standards Committee.  He is currently a member of the Halifax Chamber of Commerce, the Real Estate Lawyers Association of Nova Scotia, the Nova Scotia Barrister Society, and the Canadian Barrister Society.

In his spare time, David enjoys kayaking, golf, and spending family time with his wife and two young children.
