On December 1 a team of Burchells lawyers and staff wrapped up their participation in the Prostate Cancer Canada's Movember campaign. Participants, or "MoBros," are sponsored to grow one-month moustaches in support of prostate cancer research and awareness of men's health issues. This year Burchells Movember team (photo below missing Derek Simon) raised $5,510.
Our participation was part of a larger initiative within the legal community led by the Canadian Bar Association's Nova Scotia branch, the Nova Scotia Barristers Society, and the Nova Scotia Judiciary. All told, the Nova Scotia legal community worked together to raise more than $92,000 toward this worthy cause. Warm thanks to all who participated along with those who donated their time and support to make the campaign such a success!
