Meaghan obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree with a Certificate of Specialization in Business Law from Dalhousie University in 2013. While at law school, Meaghan was on the Dean’s List and received a number of academic awards, including the Schulich Scholarship in Law, the Alistair Fraser Scholarship in Law and an award for the highest academic standing in Conflict of Laws. She also engaged in a number of community and volunteer activities, such as her involvement with ProBono Students Canada.
Prior to attending law school, Meaghan graduated summa cum laude from the University of Ottawa, where she received a Bachelor of Music.
Meaghan was a summer student and articled clerk with Burchells. Following the completion of her articles in 2014, she was called to the Bar and joined the firm as an associate.
Meaghan is proud to practice law at Burchells, where she is a member of the firm’s transactions practice group. Her practice is focused primarily in the areas of corporate and commercial law, wills and estates, and real estate transactions.
Meaghan lives in Halifax with her husband. In her spare time, she enjoys playing a variety of musical instruments and is an avid reader. Meaghan is also an active runner and she completed her first marathon in 2013.
